Why Business Owners Should Say Yes More Often

Recently, I have been saying the word YES to a lot of different things. Things that if I wasn’t the owner of my own business that I would otherwise say no to. Things that frighten me and take me out of my comfort zone.

Being the owner of your own small business means that you have to take on the responsibilities of growing and developing your business.

Saying yes can open up many opportunities that you otherwise wouldn’t have. According to Forbes, “Saying yes means that you’re open to moving past your comfort zone and embracing a new challenge. By saying yes, you naturally adopt a growth mindset, leading with your curiosity.”

SO……

Have you been asked to attend an event – SAY YES!

Have you been asked to meet up for coffee – SAY YES!

Have you been asked to be a guest on a podcast – SAY YES!

Have you been asked to join a networking group – SAY YES!

Have you been invited to be a guest speaker as an expert in your field – SAY YES!

Saying yes to these opportunities is actually like saying yes to yourself. Saying yes to building your vision and your goals.

Of course boundaries are always needed and you should continue to set limits on what you can handle. I am not asking you to say yes to everything…

Just don’t set limits to yourself or your business that could otherwise open so many doors.

By saying yes, you continue to learn and grow more confident.

By saying yes, you challenge your talent and allow your business to grow within its industry.

By saying yes, you’ll notice that you are more satisfied with your work and you’ll feel more confident in your abilities.

We all have heard of the saying “you never know until you try” so the next time someone invites you to do something, rise to the challenge, say yes, and watch the change within yourself and within your company.
