HERE ARE 5 WAYS TO HELP!
Do you own your own business? Are you feeling overwhelmed by how much extra work it takes to run it? Do you spend each day attempting to focus on your clients only to be marred down by the details of effectively running a business? Learn what you can do to address these issues.
All of your hard work has finally paid off and your business is booming, however you feel like you are now juggling more than you can handle as one person. Each morning you plan on spending your day on your clients but fall behind when some minor business detail takes over. Before you know it another day has gone by and now you will be spending your evening attempting to finish what you started in the morning. Below you will find 5 ways to help manage your business more effectively.
- Breathe – I’m sure you have heard this plenty of times and maybe even rolling your eyes at the thought that this is the advice I am giving. However, you’ve heard it before for a good reason! It is the easiest and best way to create a separation from whatever it is that is causing you to have this overwhelming feeling. I would even suggest taking the time to learn some easy breathing exercises that can help. My own personal favorite is the 4-7-8 method.
- Write it Down – Take the first 15 minutes of your day to write out your goals for the day, week, or month – whatever works best for you – and stick to doing this each day. Prioritize your time to what needs to be completed first, second, and so on. For further satisfaction, make sure to check off or crossed out these items once you have completed them.
- Block Your Schedule – Most business owners want to maximize the time they are available for potential new clients. However, if you don’t block out time in your schedule to fulfill specific tasks for your current clients, then you risk an unsatisfied client and a possible bad review (YIKES!). Moral of the story is to make sure you take the time to care for those who have already hired you!
- Join a Group – This might seem counterproductive as you already feel like you don’t have time to manage your busy schedule. By joining a group, whether it be in-person or through your social channels, you will find like-minded individuals that might have creative solutions to problems that you yourself have. Pro tip – you will also find that this is a great way to gain new potential clients as well!
- Hire an OBM – If you are at this stage of running a business your next step should be to hire an Online Business Manager (OBM). They will be able to organize and structure your business to create a smooth daily operation. They can take over the business details that you either do not understand or simply do not have the time for. An OBM will act as a contracted partner, by aligning to your business cultures and goals, all without having to share your business.
